Wednesday Homily by Deacon James Tyree

Wednesday Homily by Deacon James Tyree

A little more than 50 years before he became an Episcopal saint, David Pendleton Oakerhater had completed 50 years of service as an Episcopal deacon to the Cheyenne and other Native Americans in western Oklahoma. He had reason to feel neglected through much of his ministry, but with God’s help he persevered and made a lasting impact on the people and church he so faithfully served.
